TERMS OF SERVICE (DESIGNATED DRIVER)

These Terms of Service ("Service Terms") govern the specific operational aspects of the Designated Driver Services provided through the RideHome Platform. These Service Terms supplement the NEXA SG PTE LTD (trading as RideHome) General Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict, these Service Terms shall prevail regarding the specific execution of a trip.

1. Booking and Cancellation Logic

1.1 The Contract

A booking request constitutes an offer. The contract is formed directly between the Customer and the Driver when the Driver accepts the request.

1.2 Grace Period for Cancellation

  • Free Cancellation: Customers may cancel at no cost within five (5) minutes of the Driver accepting the booking, provided the Driver has not yet arrived at the pickup location.

  • Late Cancellation Fee: A non-refundable fee of SGD [6.00] (or as displayed in the App) will be charged if the Customer cancels:

    • (a) After the 5-minute grace period; or

    • (b) Once the Driver has arrived at the pickup location.

1.3 Driver’s Right to Refuse

Drivers may cancel without penalty if the vehicle’s road tax/insurance is expired, the vehicle is in a dangerous condition, or the Customer is in breach of the Conduct Policy (e.g., severe intoxication without a sober companion).

2. Fees, Tolls, and Payments

2.1 Fare Calculation

Fares are dynamic and based on base rates, distance, and time. Surge pricing may apply during peak hours or inclement weather.

2.2 ERP and Parking Charges (Singapore Specific)

  • ERP: The Customer is responsible for all Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) charges incurred during the trip. These will be added to the final fare.

  • Parking: Any parking fees incurred at the pickup or drop-off point (e.g., entering a private condo or commercial mall) are the sole responsibility of the Customer.

2.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed via Stripe. By booking, you authorize a temporary Pre-Authorization Hold on your card to ensure fund availability.

2.4 GST

All fees are [inclusive/exclusive] of Goods and Services Tax (GST) where applicable under Singapore law.

3. Waiting Time Policy

3.1 Standard Grace Period

Drivers will wait for a complimentary period of five (5) minutes (the "Grace Period") upon arrival at the pickup location.

3.2 Surcharge

After the Grace Period, a waiting fee of SGD [0.50] per minute will be applied.

3.3 No-Show

If the Customer fails to appear within 15 minutes of the Driver’s arrival and is unreachable, the Driver may cancel the trip. The Customer will be charged a No-Show Fee equivalent to the Cancellation Fee plus accumulated waiting charges.

4. Promotions and Abuse Prevention

4.1 Coupons and Referral Credits have no cash value and are non-transferable.

4.2 Anti-Fraud: RideHome reserves the right to void any promotion and charge the full fare if we detect "promo-farming," account duplication, or collusion between Drivers and Customers to exploit the incentive system.

5. Cleaning and Equipment Damage

5.1 Driver’s Equipment (E-Scooters)

The Customer is liable for any damage to the Driver’s personal transportation equipment (e.g., folding e-scooter) if such damage is caused by the Customer’s intentional act or gross negligence (e.g., improper trunk closure or rough handling).

5.2 Vehicle Soiling

As per the General T&C, a standard cleaning fee of SGD 150 applies for bodily fluid soiling (vomiting, etc.). Professional cleaning receipts will be provided upon request for any claims exceeding this amount.

6. Dispute Resolution (Singapore Path)

6.1 Parties agree to first use the in-app mediation tool provided by RideHome.

6.2 If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to the Small Claims Tribunals (SCT) of Singapore, subject to its jurisdictional limits. This provides a cost-effective and efficient legal remedy for both Customers and Drivers.

7. Governing Law

These Service Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
